面色淡黃而暗,眼胞微浮,容易困倦,平素舌體胖大,身重不爽,大便正常或不實,小便不多或微混
心理特徵:性格偏溫和穩重恭謙,多善於忍耐
發病傾向:易患消渴、中風、胸痺等病證
痰濕是指體內的氣血津液運化失調,或外界水濕侵襲人體,在體內異常積聚、停留的產物。人體的水液代謝與肺、脾、腎等臟器關系密切。 脾為後天之本,負責運化人體中的水穀精微,從食物中攝取養分、輸送到全身各處,是人體氣血的來源。脾功能不足不能正常代謝體內的水濕,是造成痰濕體質的重要內因。
養生法:化痰利濕
宜飲食清淡,多吃五谷蔬菜少吃肉食。食用健脾利濕食物,紫菜、海蜇、白果、扁豆、蠶豆、薏米、赤小豆、山藥、白蘿蔔、鯽魚等
少吃油膩肥肉、甜度高食物,寒涼及酸性食物均不適宜,不宜過多飲酒。
針對外因-生活起居方面,痰濕體質的人最好避免住近海邊、地下室等潮濕的環境中。在天氣潮濕的日子,例如南方地區的梅雨季節,或者連續幾天下雨,盡量多開抽濕機,保持居住環境乾爽。
可多曬太陽,陽光能夠散濕氣,振奮陽氣。 多運動,通過出汗排出體內的部分痰濕。

茨實山藥薏仁粥
茨實15克,薏苡仁、山藥各30克,紅棗(去核)10枚。山藥去皮切條,所有食材入鍋加1000毫升水小火煮滾,燜20分鐘。
茨實性平味甘澀,能補脾利濕。山藥滋腎健脾、益肺氣。薏苡仁健脾益胃、補肺清熱。
茯苓栗子粥
茯苓15克,栗子25克,大棗10枚,粳米100克。茯苓研末,先加水煮栗子、大棗、粳米,待米半熟時徐徐加入,攪均,煮至栗子熟透。
茯苓甘淡,利水濕,健脾胃。對改善痰濕體質有很好療效。

Phlegm is the residue substance created when Qi, blood and fluid in our body is not circulating properly, or that external dampness pathogen is entering the body. Our fluid circulation is linked closely with the functioning of lungs, spleen, and kidney. Spleen is the postnatal base, it helps digest and transport nutrients from food, and is the source of Qi and blood for our body. Weakening of the spleen will tamper the circulation of fluid and dampness within the body It is the main cause for phlegm dampness body constitution.
Health regiment: eliminating dampness and resolving phlegm
Bland diet with the inclusion of five grains and vegetables is recommended. Eat less meat. Eat foods that strengthens the liver and resolves phlegm, such as seaweed, jellyfish, gingko, white hyacinth bean, broad bean, coix seed, rice bean, Chinese yam, white radish, and crucian carp.
Eat less fatty meat, sweet foods, cold and sour foods. Consume less alcohol.
For combatting the external pathogen, people of this body constitution should avoid living in damp environments, such as near the beach or in underground basements. On a humid day, such as during east Asian rainy season, or continuous rainfall, use the dehumidifier to maintain a dry living environment.
It is encouraged to go sunbathing or have a walk under the sun. Sunlight helps remove moisture and revitalize Yang Qi. Sports also helps remove phlegm and dampness by sweating.
Perform moxibustion on Chung-Wan, Guanyuan, Zusanli, Fenglong and Yinlingquan. (Chung-Wan -4 inch above navel, Guanyuan – 3 inch below navel, Zusanli - 3 inch below Xiyan , Fenglong - midpoint between Xiyan and medial malleolus Yinlingquan – in the depression on the lower border of the medial condyle of the tibia.)
Gordon Euryale seed, Chinese yam and coix seed porridge
15g Gordon Euryale seed, 30g Chinese yam, 30g coix seed, 10 slices of jujube(deseeded)
Peel the Chinese yam and cut into long slices. Add all the ingredients into 1000ml water and boil for 20 minutes with low heat.
Euryale seed is sweet and astringent, which helps invigorate the spleen and eliminate dampness. Chinese yam helps nourish kidney and spleen, as well as replenish Qi in lung. Coix seeds strengthen spleen and stomach, invigorating the lunges and clears heat.
China root and chestnut porridge
15g China root, 25g chestnut, 10 slices of jujube, 100g japonica rice.
Grind China root into powdered form. Boil the chestnuts, jujube, and rice. Put the grinded powder in when the rice is half done. Mix until chestnut is done.
China root is sweet and bland, and is good for eliminating dampness, as well as strengthening spleen and stomach. It is a great remedy for people with phlegm dampness body constitution.
